We are attempting to build an EPI (ecosystem programming interface) with our wisdom system, or Wystem as we call it, that uses computational concepts to help us build more robust ecosystems: recipes, exchanges and interfaces.

It is a space in which a jury comprised of regular people sit in judgement of policies made for them. Experts present their policies to an audience of representatives of various people's groups - as a way of enacting participatory citizenship.

Climate Recipes archives and relays lived and tested knowledge as recipes that shift our existing perceptions of adaptability to climate change. Encompassing the wisdom of indigenous ancestors, environmentalists, activists, foragers, chefs, architects, and artists, it presents practices and cultures that teach us to live with the changing biodiversity.

How can exhibitions be used as a site for thinking and deliberative decision making? Can a concept of museums be extended to be used as spaces for collective immersions? Museum-in-a-box facilitates this as an exhibition making tool.

How to influence the influencers into talking about climate, planetary boundaries and positive community action? Citizen comms is a gamechanging way of thinking about climate communication at scale.

A call to gather with different change agents to find wicked solutions to wicked problems.

Sandbox is our placemaking tools where we use all our various methodologies to bring about the flourishing aspects of a physical space. The physical dimensions of a place can extend from micro to macro.

At Socratus, we think collective wisdom is the way to solve (or is it dissolve) wicked problems. Sometimes we do that by turning problems of the world into problems of the mind in the world. Sometimes we do that by creating tools that help us make those problems visceral and transparent. Sometimes we evoke collective wisdom in spaces such as wicked sprints and citizens juries. Throughout our efforts, we bring an attitude we call philosopher’s depth to our work, in which philosophy returns to its roots as the love of wisdom. For us, philosophy is not a specialized, academic way of studying the world, but a universal, creative and practical way of changing the world. The Messenger is where we share our explorations with the world; it combines discussion of wicked problems, tools for wisdom and space creation along with our thoughts on the work of others similar to us.
